My Scroll.gif My Story_Book2.gif Welcome to My list of Storytellers and their Organizations.

Storytelling was a vanishing art until these people saw a need, a niche if you will, and decided that they were just the sort of folk to fill it. Storytelling is a badly needed skill in todays society. Even the Bible itself is full of stories that are better "told" than "preached." People do NOT like being preached at. But tell a good story, or parable, and they will flock from miles around to hear one's message.

Those people who are careless with their automobiles, water craft, and lives of others probably never heard a story
told before.

Stories are how Kids(and Grown-Ups) learn their
Morality.

On this page I am featuring links to the websites of those Storytellers whose works I have had the opportunity to hear or read. Check 'em out for yourself.

	Aesop's Fables -

Grimm Fairy Tales - From the Brother's Grimm (No, I don't know if Ben is related)

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS Chuck Lorre's Vanity Fare - Yes, I am including Chuck in this list. I have found his "Vanity Messages," after the credits of Dharma and Greg have rolled, to be insightfull and inspirational. They provide a view of the inner workings of the author's mind. Also, it seems my mind sometimes works in a similar fashion ... sometimes.

	Dan Gibson - Storyteller/Banjoplayer

The Lawn Story - I first saw this story in a 2001 or 2002 issue of the Texas Cooperative Extension Service's newsletter and more recently in the TCMGA's April 2003 newsletter, The Sharecropper. I liked the story so much that I wanted to share it with as many Folk as possible. I felt the best way to do this was to transcribe it to the HTML format for general Internet access.

Native American Storytellers - I first heard one of these guestfolk at Tarrant County Junior College's SouthEast Campus. A link to Tim Tingles web page is below.
